Tresors de Luxe Layout

Back again dear friends to share my next Design Team layout using the gorgeous Tresors de Luxe lace.  This layout is very special to me as it is my dear niece, Samantha all grown up!  Her sister Dani Ulstad has a photography business Ronny & Rene Photography Design Studio, and they had a fun photo shoot.  Stay tuned for more gorgeous pics of this gorgeous, amazing young lady.

Sam chose a vintage lace dress for this bridal shoot, so I had a blast using all the gorgeous Venice and beaded lace from Lucy Oh's Etsy Shop.  I started with a background paper from 13 Arts, and adhered the gorgeous lace on the right side. I used a Creative Embellishment chipboard antique clock to anchor the photos, and painted it with a Metallic Rust paint from Lumiere.

99% of the flowers are from 49th and Market, with a few little rosebuds, ferns, bits and pieces of more gorgeous lace and clock faces.  I can never get tired of clocks.  I wanted this layout to have a vintage, Seattle chic look, which is not easy to do!!!

Down at the bottom left-had side I used another piece of antique clock, flowers, and a sweet rhinestone trinket from Tresors de Luxe.  It's a stem with sweet clear and blue sparkles, very sweet, and perfect for this layout!!!

Here are more close-ups of my layout!

I really hope that you enjoyed you visit today.  Stop back by for more inspiration from the other DT gals.  They are all so amazing!  And, here's a link to Lucy's Etsy Shop....warning you can't leave without buying something LOL!

Here's a big Alaska Bear Hug!

Party Time

Last week I had a miserable failure with one of my layouts.  I was so bummed.  So the next layout is my attempt to recreate what I wanted.  This is a photo of my son and daughter having fun at Octoberfest.  I wanted to create a party lo which reflects their love of life and love for each other.   I may have gone a little overboard, I just couldn't help myself.  The White Rabbit represents me, watching my clock till they come home, only this time it's cause I'm the babysitter!!!  I did quite a bit of die cutting, splattering of paint, etc.  I used the January Kit - Karen's Valentine from Scraps of Darkness.  It is just full of all kinds of fun from Bo Bunny's Star Crossed collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  The sun has finally popped its head out today.  Have a wonderful week, and don't forget to take time out to enjoy the special moments!!

Kathy

New Layout

Hello Dear Friends:

I am so excited about sharing a layout that I created of my son, Patrick.  He is studying to be an engineer, so I wanted this lo to be structured.  I had such a blast creating this one.

Patrick's friend Marcus took this photo, and I just love it!

Hope everyone is doing well!  Big Alaska Bear Hugs from me to you!!

I'm Back !!!!!!!!!!

Hello dear friends!  Yes, it's been almost a year since I have posted.  So many things have happened, I guess you would call it life in general.  I took a break from scrapping for awhile so that I could focus on family and work.  I needed to replenish my creative energy and enjoy the world around me.  After having 4 inner ear surgeries in 2 years, I was pretty depleted.  Then in October my mother passed away.  And, I lost one of my sweet dauschunds (sp?), Sarah.  Needless to say, it's been a tough year.

I started scrapping again around August and will be sharing some of my work over the next 2 weeks. I hope that your year was wonderful!  Spring is coming soon, not that we have had much of a winter. It has barely snowed all winter, not a good sign.

Talk with you soon!

Design Tech Layouts for Scraps of Elegance February Kit

Love is in the Air

This layout is a photo of my son, Patrick and his girlfriend, Katie.  Used Pan Pastels for the first time in the background (it's the soft pink).  Loved using that stuff.  I also went crazy with my Sizzix dies.  I just can't find the right layouts sometimes to use them, and they are so much fun!

Celebration of Nana's Life

Katie's Mom passed away suddenly last year.  This is a photo taken at Nana's Memorial Service.  The family had just taken a vacation to Hawaii, and spent the best time ever.  So, as a celebration of Nana they wanted to remember good times in the sun at her service.  It was a truly sad day, but they were happy as well knowing that she was in a better place.

That's all for now on my February layouts.  Thanks for stopping by, and here's a Big Alaska Bear Hug from me to you!!!

I have a few layouts to share with everyone that were created using the Scraps of Elegance February Kit, "Love Always".

Cutie Pie

This is a photo of my son's girlfriend's daughter.  I've never cut out a photo before, and had a wonderful time adding all the texture to the background.  I just stamped away, added lots of mists, modeling pastes, stenciled until it came together the way I wanted it.  I'm really pleased with it!!!
